Local Beekeeper READS!

Local Beekeeper READS! In-Person

Join us for a special Community Read event designed especially for young readers in Kindergarten through 4th grade! This unique program brings the joy of storytelling together with a sweet and educational hands-on experience.
Lisa Nason from Products of the Hive will share a bee-themed story that highlights themes of kindness, community, and working together—just like bees do in the hive! After the story, kids will enjoy a fascinating Show & Tell of real beekeeping tools and gear. Learn what beekeepers use to care for their bees and harvest honey! Honey Tasting Included!
Explore the world of honey through a guided tasting of different varieties. Discover how flowers, bees, and even seasons can affect the flavor and color of honey.

This event is part of our Community Read initiative, encouraging all ages to connect through a shared story and meaningful experiences. Don’t forget to bring your READS Passport to collect a stamp! Registration is requested but not required.
Come for the story—stay for the buzz!
